I don’t think they did a very good job showing it in the adaptation. But for those who missed it. She’s telling him, “if he had shown any concern for her over losing their child, then that would have been the end of it and this tragedy would have never began.” but because he never showed any concern for what she went through in a normal manner, she thought he simply just didn’t give a shit. Which drove her to near insanity since she lost the only thing she thought would love her unconditionally, her child.
