Luca’s father is not a Winterwald.Let’s go back in time.The duke,Rudieger’s father,was already in love with his mother,the second wife,even before the duke was married to the princess.The duchess was the princess’s lady in waiting at that time.The duke knew that the duchess would not acceot his feelings had he confessed her then because she was the princess’s lady in waiting and she loved the princess so much to the point where she didn’t want to leave the princess for marriage.The princess,on the other hand,was a olay girl;se had lots of lovers and Luca’s father was the son of the princess and one of her lovers;he wasn’t the duke’s son.Therefore,the duke and the princess made a deal-the duke will take the princess in as his first wife,then they will divorce later and the princess will run away because she wanted to escape her father(you already know how much the former king was overprotective of his sister and the princess).So,later,the duke can ask the duchess for her hand in marriage.(please note that both the duke and the princess never loved each other;it was a marriage in name only and I bet they didn’t consumate their marriage-therefore it can be said the duke never cheated on the princess.)The primcess died unfortunately but the duke remarried to the duchess as he had originally planned.So,Luca’s father was not of Winterwald blood,yes,but both him and Luca are of royal blood because he was born from the princess and Luca was born from him and the grandfdaughter of the former king’s sister.My explanation can be a bit messed up but I hope you all understand.It would be much easiet to explain with family tree but there is no picture permission in the com-sec.
