My theory is that Lari was probably not meant to rule before her sister’s sudden death, and her replacing that sister. Possibly even seen as a burden or an idiot, and so, she’s trying way to hard to make this engagement work.
Either that, or bitch be crazy and murdered the intended bride to take her place. Or hell, maybe even a psycho made to believe she’s royalty, but really part of a plan to assassinate Alfonso with her crazier tendencies.
