The length of a day is determined by how long a planet takes to make a full rotation around its own axis. A day probably isn’t 24 hours for them. We don’t even know how long a year is for that planet. Doesn’t really need time manipulation for this to make sense

I am assuming there is some time manipulation where they somehow squeeze time so that more work hours are possible that exceeds 24 hours in a day. he probably even means that it isn’t even a work day. they are full days or more. so it is 15360 hours of work in a 365 day year. so he does a 40 hour shift per day. this is beyond overtime.
