You know I don’t even bother to read manhua, just because the art style isn’t for me and the sheer amount of chapters. Anything over 150 chapter is a huge nono. (Solo leveling is an exception ). Even manga that only have 100 or so chapters to read is very hard to get into, because you know that it will be repetitive. The art style of manhuas don’t suit me either. I love manhwa art style and around 70-80 chapters is gold

Ok….I’ve read all 522 chapters….(don’t ask me. Idk how either)
TLDR: summary of it all with as little spoilers as possible.
Sooo…. it’s good. It breaks some real toxic tropes in Chinese manhuas like the FL being OP as heck except when the ML is near, then she becomes dumb as a rock. Or being pushed around by the ML, lied to, kidnapped, etc … and becoming an object of obsession of every male villain around.
The FL actually starts to change and use her identity as the ML wife to defend herself and calls the ML out when he lies to or hides things from her. The ML also realizes that only wealth or good looks aren’t enough to guarantee love and that he must give her respect and trust she deserves instead of trying to shelter her and monopolize her attention. You really get the impression of a couple that trusts and values each other beyond possessive and shallow reasons.
On the other hand some toxic or dumb tropes continue. The majority of the villains are women who want the ML and target the FL because she’s an easier target. They’re also dumb and obsessive af, and only cause actual harm by chance (I.e. the plot said so). Aaand one of them happened to have gender affirming surgery so by the end of her arc she is shown with stuble on her chin implying she’s not a “real woman” (no good guy ever comes out and say that’s bad, or that she isn’t a real woman, or that they’re grossed out or anything but still feels gross) Also the one side character with shitty traits happens to be the only one that’s short (and they call him midget all the time)
Another irky point is referring to mixed race people as hybrids (I’m putting that as possible translation error but still…dude)
And finally some plot points or characters are dropped to be never seen again (FL has an adoptive mum that disappears for hundreds of chapters, and it’s not even mentioned) or mentioned in the background like it’s no biggie but massively impacts their lives.
Other wholesome tropes are:
Validation of your adoptive family (parents and children)
Multiple moms and dads (not as a unit just birth and adoptive parents co-parenting)
Validation of people’s choices against an arranged marriage.
Validation that a woman doesn’t have to say yes if a rich man pursues her (and the man isn’t presented as a complete creep)
Recognition that your partners choices and wants are just as important as your own. And forcing someone is a great way to lose any chance of love.
Sexy looking women aren’t all vixens searching for rich men.
What works for one woman won’t work on all of them.
Sex positivity (mainly the FL says yes to sex and looks like she has a good time. Not the unclear consent that really ircks me)
As Chinese manhuas go I liked it. It’s still dumb and tropy as heck, but good.

Okay so I tried honestly I did I got to at least chapter 78 and I couldn’t take it anymore.
First 20 chapters were fine and had potential but then nothing changed they never communicated with each and the ML was possessive and rude the FL was weak and stupid to be honest.
I thought surely they’d grow to be better but no I checked the chapters ahead but literally nothing but the same kind of junk the art wasn’t even that good but I could work with it if the story was good😭
